Discounting and Mindfulness
2-4 April 2009
Discounting is the process by which we minimise or ignore some aspect of ourselves, others or reality. We will take a look at the link between the concept of mindfulness and discounting and how this can be applied to the workplace. What are the elements that encourage discounting rather than accounting? How does being task focussed encourage discounting and what can be done to promote accounting? How is mindfulness beneficial in the workplace?
Concepts for Thriving
12-14 June 2009
This model fits with the philosophy and the belief that safety and security are of paramount importance. These concepts also take into account both the individual and the organisation. Concepts for Thriving © can be used as a diagnostic tool and a structure for action. It is based on the assumption that there are six basic components to effective functioning. This workshop will explore the model, its use and application in organisations.
